Obituary of Margaret Hamrick

Margaret Lucille Murray Hamrick, 92, a three year resident of Fayetteville, WV, and formerly of Morgantown passed away Thursday afternoon, April 7, 2011 at her daughter's residence in Fayetteville after an extended illness.Born November 3, 1918 in Morgantown, she was a daughter of the late Sam Chapman and the late Edna Faye Murray.Survivors include her five children, Donald Siefert, Michael Siefert, Samuel Siefert, Margaret Hoover and Patricia Lunsford eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren a sister, Emmalou Sickles, and a brother, James âSkippyâ Chipps.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Annabelle Banks, Gay Chipps, Jr., Mabel Palmer and David Thornbridge.Mrs. Hamrick was a Pentecostal by faith and worked as a waitress at both the Hotel Morgan and Mount Chateau, as well as Rayâs Pastries Diner.The family will receive friends at the Nicholson Chapel Church, Summers School Rd., Morgantown beginning at 4 PM Tuesday, April 12th and continuing until the time of the funeral service in the church at 1 PM Wednesday, April 13th with Reverend Elmer âScoopâ Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Hamrickâs memory may be made to Hospice of Southern WV, PO Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25801.Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown is in charge of the arrangements.Condolences online: www.hastingsfuneralhome.com
