Dear Aunt Eva and family, I am sorry you have lost the companionship of such a good person as Herman. I was fortunate to know him as my uncle, and I have always appreciated the kindness, warmth, and respect with which he treated me. I know he will be missed not only by family but by all who knew him as a friend. I felt he truly wished the best for everyone, and did his best for them.May God do the same for him. Love,Daniel

TO THE WALKER FAMILY THIS IS A NOTE OF DEEPEST SORROW FOR YOU IN THIS TIME OF THE LOSS OF A BELOVED HUSBAND, GRANDFATHER, STEPFATHER, TEACHER, OR HOWEVER PEOPLE KNEW MR. WALKER. MY HUSBAND DANIEL HOBBS AND I BOTH HAD MR. To: The Family of Herman V. Walker: Mr. Walker was always one of my favorite teachers over there at South Junior High School & he always did call me one of his buddies. He always did crack a lot of nice jokes with a very wonderful sense of humour & he was always fair & gentle in his ways & he didn't like to send anyone to detention hall unless he really had to & he always did work with the students before he took that route, today's teachers don't even come close to Mr. Walker & he always had a lot of input about the government & how it ran & than he had lots of inspiringn stories about American History 1 whenever my friends & I all had him, & than he had lots of encouragement & smiles everyday in class & you could always tell that he enjoyed his job of teaching. Well, Walker Family this is a note of much sympathy & prayers to you all during this difficult time in your all's lives with deepest condolences to you all too, best of wishes & God Bless you during your all's time of mourning sincerely, Danny Hobbs one of the 1st 3 year students at South Junior High School whenever it opened in 1980

Dear Eva and family, I am so sorry and saddened that Herman has passed. I was hoping he could come to visit me one more time. Herman was the kindest person I have ever met and a wonderfully devoted husband, father and friend. I am so grateful that the two of you touched my life.
