Donald Lee Snider, 75, of Old School Rd., Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at his residence.Born in Morgantown on June 18, 1935, he was a son of the late Leo Joy Snider and the late Nellie Mae (Dalton) Snider.Mr. Snider served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1956. He retired in 1993 as a letter carrier from the US Postal Service with more than 20 years of service. He was a member of the Beth Haven Baptist Church and enjoyed meeting âthe boysâ around town at various restaurants.Survivors include his children, Gary Lee Snider and wife Cathy with whom he made his home, Ricky Lee Snider and wife Staci of Parkersburg, Michael Bouser and wife Paige of Morgantown, Jackie Snider of Phoexnix, AZ, Penny Carpenter of Florida and Donna Snider of Rapid City, SD several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his siblings, Leo Snider, JR. and wife Lucy of the Kingwood Pike, Dorothy McCormick of Morgantown and Judy Matthews of the Washington, DC area.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Victor and Virgil Snider. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Saturday, February 19th from 3-5 & 7-9pm and again on Sunday, February 20th from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM with Pastor David Coe officiating. Interment with full military honors accorded will be held at 9 AM Monday, Feb. 21st in West Virginia National Cemetery, Pruntytown.In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 246 Cheat Rd., Suite 3, Morgantown, WV 26508.
