Opal M. Davis, 90, of Old Kingwood Pike, Morgantown, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Monongalia General Hospital.Opal was born in Morgantown on November 13, 1920, the daughter of the late Solomon and Sadie Nicholson Dalton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. In earlier years, she enjoyed quilting, growing flowers and doing word search. Most of all she enjoyed talking on the telephone to her phone buddies Goldie, Hazel, Leone, Mary, Francis, Naomi and sisters, Patty, Velma and Ruby. She is survived by her daughter Darlene E. Hall, six grandchildren, Bobby and Debby Deavers, George and Mary Jo Hall, Junie and Ginger Ault, her great-grandchildren Jimmy and Andrea Wilburn, Jason and Lisa Wilburn, Robby and Liz Deavers, Tommy Deavers, Danielle âDan Lâ, April âApeâ, Austin âOpieâ Ault, her great-great grandchildren, Carah âQueenâ, Conner âLuLuâ, and Dustin âCharlieâ Wilburn and Graham âCrackerâ Deavers, her siblings, Ruby Kessler, Velma and Ralph McDonald, Patty and Ronald Hilling, Wilma Forquer, Carl Dalton, Orval Dalton and Okey and Barb Dalton as well as her sister-in-law Francis Hagedorn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Davis and a daughter, Arlene R. Davis, her siblings, Eugene Dalton, Solomon Dalton, Jr., Anna Mae Dalton, Melva Blosser, Marcella Clark, Rachael Baker and Jacob Dalton. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 4-8pm on Tuesday, February 15, and from 10-11am on Wednesday, February 16. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11am with Pastor Sean Wightman officiating. Private family burial will be held at Davis Cemetery, Morgantown.",197334
