Obituary of Robin Troy

Robin Charlene Sanders Troy, 52, of Morgantown passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, after a brief, courageous battle with cancer.Robin was born in Morgantown, WV on September 23, 1958, the daughter of Marvin, Sr. and Sharlene Sanders.She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, AWANA Club leader, choir member, Morgantown Christian Academy volunteer, and willing worker. Robin especially enjoyed singing gospel music in church with her family. Robin also enjoyed helping with Country Wide Prison Ministries providing Bible lessons to prisoners throughout the United States and India. Robinâs life was dedicated to serving God through serving others. Robin was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her familyâs needs ahead of her own. Her greatest legacy is the life she lived, and she will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, James M. Troy daughters, Kristy Jecklin and husband David of Morgantown and Melissa Hefner and husband David also of Morgantown grandchildren, Christian, Brendan and Lauren Jecklin, and Olivia and David Hefner, Jr. brother, Marvin Sanders, Jr. and wife Vickie of Reedsville nieces and nephews Alisha Aronhalt, Kyle Sanders, Tiffany Sanders, Brittany Sanders and Brandon Sanders father-in-law and mother-in-law, James G. and Glenda Troy of Morgantown brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Christine Troy of Morgantown.Robin was preceded in death by her grandparents, several aunts, uncles, cousins and her infant sister, Shelby. Family and friends will be received at the Faith Baptist Church, Greenbag Road, Morgantown, Wednesday, Feb. 9 from 4-9 p.m. Visitation will continue in the church on Thursday, Feb. 10, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bennie Moran officiating.
