I am so sorry I didn't get to see you before you died. I couldn't find you. On Christmas of 2009 I sent gifts and they came back saying that your address was unknown. I asked the ones I knew and no one knew where you were staying. I just knew you were sick. I talked to you after you had your stroke. I thought about Tina because you talked about her a lot. I didn't know her name or address. My whole family loved Kate, she was so good to her mother for years and to my brother, Bill, for so long. Her loved her so much! I know you are in Heaven, Kate.Love You,Lois Klingensmith Tetrick

She was an inspiration to me, for her loving attitude, strong personality, and strength. I will never forget this beautiful lady. I met her at the funeral of my husband's grandmother many years ago, and saw her again at the funeral of my father-in-law recently. Her indomitable commitment to family is something I will never, ever forget.

Katie was more like a mother to me than an Aunt. She took me in when I was 2 years old when my mother couldn't take care of me. I was with her for more than a year. She helped make me the spoiled brat I am today! As a young girl, I remember Katie taking me to the demolition derby and we had a great time! A few years ago during one of my visits, we decided to go to a casino in Wheeling (45 minutes drive from Morgantown). I asked Katie if I needed to bring a map -this was before google - and she said "you don't need a map...I know my way around"...three hours later we found the casino - and after ten minutes and winning $20 Katie was ready to leave!Even though Katie didn't have any children of her own, she had many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.Several years ago, Katie took a trip to Italy with her church friends. I asked her what she thought about the churches she visited while in Italy, and she replied "They're alright, but the churches in Morgantown are just as nice!"Even in her 80s Katie cared about her appearence and definately the opposite sex, but Bill Klingensmith(I called him Daddy Bull) was the love of her life.I would like to express my gratitude to Cliff & Tina for opening their home to Katie for the last 18 months of her life. It was a selfless act and gave Katie the companionship and care she deserved in her final time on earth.Katie, I love you and am honored to have known you. You have blessed my life.Your Niece,Jackie
