Burl F. Castle, 87, of Cheat Lake, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 at his home.Burl was born on May 7, 1923, in Tunnelton WV, the son of the late Joseph W. Castle Sr. and Carrie McGinnis Castle.As a young man he was a self employed truck driver, and prior to his retirement he worked for the Monongalia County school system. He was Methodist by faith, and a member of Cheat Lake United Methodist Church.He is survived by his daughters, Betty L. Fox and husband Jerry of Mt. Morris, PA, Pamela S. Holbert and husband Glenn of East Palestine OH, his long-time companion and care giver, Louise Kussart, a brother Harlan of Rowlesburg, WV five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert âBobbyâ Burl sisters, Catherine, Ruby and Anges brothers, Norwin, Monroe, Alton, Woodrow and Joseph Jr.Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 4-8 PM on Sunday, December 26. The service will follow directly after the visitation at 8 PM with Rev. Michael Rowe officiating. Graveside burial will be held Monday, December 27 at 1 PM at Campground Cemetery in Tunnelton WV.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Cheat Lake United Methodist Church, 750 Fairchance rd., Morgantown WV 26508
