Jessie Mae Bee Shaffer Dean, 59, of Reedsville, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Jessie was born in Wayne County, Georgia on July 26, 1951, the daughter of the late Jessie James Sharpe and Mrytle Mae (Holton) Sharpe.She was a retired custodian serving 22 years at the West Virginia University.She is survived by her husband, Joe Dean, her children, Michelle Hartley and husband, Eddie and Amanda Hartley and husband, Tracy of Morgantown her step-children, Johnny Dean of Morgantown and Tonya Thomas and husband, Michael of Douglas, GA grandchildren, Dustin Hartley, Nikki Hartley, Brendan, Hartley, C.J. Hartley, Faith Hartley, Shyan Thomas and Lexus Thomas sister Norma Jean Manders and husband, Cecil of Blackshear, GA brother, Calvin Sharpe and wife, Carolyn of Sulphur, LA and a special niece Delane Martin of Brunswick, GA she was looking forward to the birth of her great-grandbaby, Bailey Eve Mae Hartley. Jessie is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Billie Harris and Pearl Mason, brother-in-law, Ed Harris, and nephew Joe Harris.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, Thursday, Nov. 18, from 3-5 and 7-9p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, Nov. 19 from 12:00p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00p.m.with Pastor Bonnie Rowan and Pastor Dottie Thorne officiating. Cremation services will follow. Burial will follow at a later date in Georgia.
