Obituary of Deborah Menefee

Deborah Lea Menefee, 50, of Morgantown passed away suddenly at home on Friday, November 12, 2010. Deborah was born on January 9, 1960, in Bellview Nebraska, at Offut Airforce Base. The daughter of Ingle and Florence(Hess)Murray of Morgantown. Deborah enjoyed spending time with her animals and also was an avid reader and wrote short children's stories in her spare time. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of almost 17 years, James Menefee, of Morgantown, a daughter, Jessica Sheldon and husband, Keith, of Morgantown. Four grandchildren, Nikolaus, Jordane, Brenna and Carrigan Sheldon, all of Morgantown, a brother, R. Christopher Murray and wife Amanda, of Morgantown, and one nephew, Zachary Murray, also of Morgantown. She is also survived by several aunts and uncle all of Morgantown. Deborah was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dolly and Jesse Hess, her paternal grandfather, Wayne Murray, an uncle James Hess and infant daughters Dawn Nicole, Joy Lynn, Tyler, and Sierra. Hastings Funeral Home provided cremation services. Donations may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 238, Hurricane, WV 25526, or The March of Dimes West Virginia Chapter, 3508 Staunton Avenue SE., 2nd Floor, Charleston WV 25304.
