Obituary of Dottie Turner

Dottie Jean Stiles Turner, 64, of Halleck Road, Morgantown, our special angel, was called home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at her residence. Dottie was born in Morgantown on January 3, 1946, a daughter of the late George Willis Stiles and the late Mabel Clair (Zetty) Stiles. She was a loving wife to Glenn M. Turner, Sr. for 46 years. She was also a caring a devoted mother to Anna C. (Turner) Sisler and her spouse, Terry, and to her son, Glenn M. Turner, Jr. She was also a second mom to five grandchildren, Jordan and Alyssa Sisler, and Alex and Aidan Turner, and Dakota Dalton. She is also survived by three siblings, John Stiles of Indiana, Karen Trickett of Ohio and Carl Stiles of Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings George F. Stiles, Aladria Messenger, Anna Haskiell, Georgetta Stiles, Jimmy Stiles and Tom Stiles. She enjoyed spending what little free time she had reading, sewing and crocheting. She also loved giving of herself and helping others. Dottie's life will be celebrated with her family receiving friends at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 6-8 PM Thursday, November 11th, 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday, November 12th and Saturday, Nov. 13th from 9-10 AM. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 AM Saturday, Nov. 13 with Pastor David L. Chedester officiating. Interment will follow in the Morgan Memorial Park, Reedsville.
