Florence Helen "Jo" Davis, 88, of Davis Lane, Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the home of her daughterâs Shirley and Blaine Fowler, where she made her home for the past nine years with family and friends by her side. Jo was the daughter of the late John David and Christina Belle Berry Hall. She was born January 28, 1922 on the Kingwood Pike, Morgantown, WV.Jo was Methodist and was an active member of Burns Chapel Methodist Church, until her health started failing. She loved working with the ladies, and was the president of the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved doing things with her hands, crocheting, quilting, but she mostly loved her family and her church family and doing activities with them. Jo was married to the late Ephraim Davis for 50 years. He passed away in 1990. Jo is survived by four children and spouses, Lillie Mae (Richard) Riley, Shirley (Blaine) Fowler, David (Carol) Davis, and Stephen (Donna) Davis grandchildren, Rodney (Susan) Riley, Penny (Russell) Walls, Ricky (Diann) Fowler, Pamela (Scott) Varner, Heidi (Brian) Vickers, Heather (Rick) Lucas, Jared Davis, Justin Davis, Thomas (Billie) Davis, Rachel (Tom) Donell, Kayla Davis, Cheyanne Davis, Stevie Davis, and Corey Davis great-grandchildren, RJ (Cassie) Riley, Meghan Riley, Aaron Riley, Holli McMillen, Kayla McMillen and Caressa McMillen, Jonathan Fowler, Ashley (Barry) Nicholson, Dirk, Keylea Varner, Urijah Bliss, Camden Varner, Kristopher, Nick, and Joshua Vickers, Sierra Lucas, and Trent Donell three step great-grandchildren, Andrew (Robin) Walls, Derrick Walls and Colton 2 great-great-grandsons, Hunter Turner and Mason Riley her sisters, Mattie Lee Kennedy and Dixie Blosser and her brother, Howard (Hazel) Hall. She is also survived by her faithful companion, her poodle, âBoogieâ.In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Christopher Fowler, her sisters, Edna, Grace, Hazel, and Patsy her brothers, James, Clark, Charles and Johnny. Family and friends will be received at the Burns Chapel Church, on Friday, Nov. 5 from 4p.m. until the time of the service in the church on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 2:00p.m. withRev Rick Stackpole officiating Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery.
