William Judson Bebout, 65, of Pierpont Road, Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at Sundale Nursing Home after a brief battle with cancer.William was born June 16, 1945 in Morgantown, a son of the late Billy Martin and Mary Ellen Pixler Bebout.Bill was friendly, had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved people, especially his family. He served in the Navy on the U. S. S. Roosevelt. He worked in construction and was employed at Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Woodburn Elementary, and Pleasant Hill Cemetery. He loved television, especially westerns and shows from the 50âs and 60âs. Bill had a passion for music and singing. He was an avid gardener and truly had a green thumb. He was of the Christian faith and loved the Lord, whom he has now joined in Heaven.Bill is survived by four sisters, Nancy Lee Smith, and husband, Richard Wayne Rebecca Jean Bebout, Eloise Jane White, and Susan Virginia Taylor one brother, Harry Richard Bebout, and wife, Margaret Ann a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Bebout and a brother-in-law, Thomas M. Harman, I, along with 10 nephews, 2 nieces, 6 great-nephews, and 9 great-nieces.Bill was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Margaret âPeggyâ Bebout and Cynthia Ann Harman a brother, James Carroll Bebout, and a niece, Brooke Ann White.The family would like to extend special thanks to Ruby Memorial Hospital, Sundale Nursing Home, and Hospice for their loving and outstanding care of Bill. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Saturday, October 16, from 1-3 PM. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday afternoon in the funeral home with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.Donations may be made in Billâs memory to the Riverview Baptist Church, 219 Big Stoney Creek Road, Ripplemead, VA 24150.
