Rose Anderson of Morgantown, West Virginia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 29th in the same home built by the hands of her husband wherein she raised a family and lived for over 65 years. Rose was 91. Her passing was preceded by the passing of her husband, Kenneth F. Anderson and her son, Kenneth F. Anderson, Jr. Her life will be celebrated and her memory will live on with her daughter Judith Baker, her grandson and caretaker Scott Anderson, six other grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Rose was a dancing partner and loving wife to her husband, a caring mother to her children, and a loving friend and provider of sweets to her grandchildren. To all her family, she was the brightest star in the north sky a constant reminder of home. She leaves behind traditions, recipes and stories, but carried with her, her dancing shoes.She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxillary of Morgantown Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Sr. Regent of the Morgantown Moose Lodge.Rose was born in Mt. Pleasant, PA on July 26, 1919, the daughter of the late John and Anna Koval Kushner.Survivors include her daughter Judy Baker of Melbourne, FL 7 grandchildren and spouses: Jeff Anderson (Carolyn Chen), Marc Anderson (companion Kim Scafella), Jon Scott Anderson, Jo Beth Paugh (Jack Paugh), Lisa Garoust (Mike Garoust), Erik Eavenson (Trizia Eavenson) and Tyson Eavenson (Genesa Eavenson) 11 great-grandchildren: Daniel Morris, David Paugh, Hannah Vecchio, Ava Rose Anderson, Kayla, Chloe and Camden Garoust, Lauren, Ella, and Garrett Eavenson, and Sarah Ellen Anderson. Extened family includes Emily and Olivia Scafella.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Friday, Oct. 1 from 6-9 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 10-11a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the church at 11:00a.m with Fr. Hiarion V. Cann as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Roseâs memory to the Alzheimer's Association of North Central WV, 1299 Pineview Dr., Suite 3, Morgantown, WV 26505 or St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, One Guthrie Lane, Morgantown, WV 26508.
