Papa, I could write a book on things I learned from you. You would give me a quarter and say, “Don’t spend it all in one place." When it came to betting on the football and basketball games he would always say, “Here’s what I am going to do." He always wanted more points so he would win. My Uncle Rod and my own father would say, “If you need $1.00 that bad just ask." He always said that it was okay to talk to yourself as long as you didn''t answer yourself, which unfortunately didn''t work out for me. At any given holiday he always said the blessing and it was a wonderful feeling when family is all around and having a good time, even when we got into stupid exchanges. He would call and ask what you were doing. If you said nothing he would say, "Picking your nose?" When I would show up at the front door he would say, "We don''t want any today." Then he let me in. In the summer he would get so tan but his feet were white because of the socks he wore. He would show us his tan line and my mom always told him that he needed to put his feet out in the sun to even it out. Living in town I was able to grow up with my grandparents down the road. It’s awesome! I know how lucky and blessed I am to have grandparents. I know so many people who don’t remember their grandparents or never met them. I was/am so lucky and so blessed to have my family. I love them all so much! Family is everything! Though he wasn’t able to play golf for the last few years, I bet that he is the world’s #1 golfer in heaven! Papa, I love you and I miss you. I know you are watching over us. Growing up in such a wonderful family is my hole in one! Love Always and Forever! Tara

Hello Kelley Family - We are remembering Dr. Kelley with fondness, and sharing your loss as well as your celebration of a life of service. I especially remember the hospitality of Art and Lois during my first "tour of duty" in Morgantown 1970-1972, and also the meaningful years that Anne, Beth and I spent in Morgantown 1981-1983. Our prayers are with you during this time.

Doc' was quite the character. Always had a joke or something quirky to say to Jim. To both of us he was a great person and told you like it was. We enjoyed being around him, he always made us smile. He was my doc' from the age of 7, until he retired. Good people are hard to replace, and he will be one of those. His memories will last your lifetime/ and that is a good thing. God Bless Mrs Kelley and your family.Barbara & Jim King

Dear Mrs. Kelly, Art, Rod, Jeff and Cindy, It is with a knowing heart that I send you my deepest sympathy upon the loss of Dr. Kelly. He and my Dad were not just colleagues and partners, they were very, very good friends. Like most of the poker club, he always called me Susie. He always had a smile on his face and usually a funny story to tell. He had a big heart and special touch with animals. One of my fondest memories is of he and Dr. Thompson doing kitchen table surgery on a stray kitten that I had found. While the other players waited patiently in the dining room, he tenderly held the kitten while Dr. T. extracted a foreign object from it''s neck. Tip lived a long life. The last time I saw your dad was the week that my father passed away in July 2002. I was so moved by the sadness and grief those ''tough old Doc''s'' displayed. In closing I must mention that the very LAST memory is of standing on your front porch with your Dad who had kindly offered it print out copies of something for me on HIS COMPUTER! Wow, was I impressed!Blessings and love,Susie Logue Wishon
