Carolyn Walters, 60, of, Brookhaven, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at her residence.Carolyn was born in Parkersburg on July 23, 1949, the daughter of the late Albert and Reva Kelley Englehardt. She graduated from Parkersburg High School, class of 1967 and attended Potomac State College and WVU. She was a member of Suncrest United Methodist Church. Carolyn loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was very devoted to her family and was a great woman of faith. She was a very giving and generous person who always put others needs before her own. She also enjoyed going camping and visiting the beach. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bob her children, Sgt. 1st Class Robert Lynn Walters II stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado Springs, CO, Christen Smith and husband Jonathan of Keyser, and Julie Attardo and husband, Dan of Chesapeake, VA two grandchildren, Victoria and Beth Smith, and a brother, Ken Rutherford and wife, Patricia of Wooster, OH nephew Mark Rutherford and his wife Erin and their children Brendy and Ethan of Wooster, OH sister-in-law Sherry Fox and her husband Dana and their children, Stephenie Torres and husband, Rob of Frederick, MD and Brian Fox of Las, Vegas, NV brother-in-law John Walters and his wife Connie, and their son Willie Goldsmith, Jr. and his children Christian and Caleb Goldsmith and their daughter Guinevere Goldsmith.Mrs. Waltersâs wishes for cremation will be honored.Friends will be received for a memorial visitation at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St, Morgantown. from 6-8p.m. on Sunday, April 4. Visitation will also be held at the Suncrest United Methodist Church on Monday, April 5 from 11 AM to 12 Noon, the time of the Memorial Service in the Church with Rev. Tim W. Halloran officiating. Inurnment will take place at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
