John, Vincent and Jesse, I feel grateful to have accompanied my husband, Jim, to be at your wife and mom's memorial service this past Saturday. It was so apparent that she touched so many people in varied and similar ways. You surely know you have much company in grieving her loss. My hope for you is that you feel free and confident to live out your mortal days in a manner that best suits each of you as father, sons, brothers and men. Rosie's affirmation that god is within is good food for thought. From one physical manifestation of divine presence to another, BWell,Faye Schieffer

Dearest Dixie and Beth and Melanie, Colette and Nicole. Jim and I thank you for greeting and welcoming us Saturday to honor and remember Rosie. You are all so special to us. May your lives always be blessed with Rosie's presence. As vibrant Baptist speaker Anthony Compollo used say "It's Friday but Sunday's comin'. As Holy Week unfolds, may these words come alive when you think of Rosie going through death to new life.Beth, we'd love to have a copy of your poem to remember Rosie.Love, Faye

Rosie wrote me 2 weeks before she died -"Sorry to write with sad news, but I made a decision years ago that I wasn't ever going to be a friend who just disappeared". Her brilliant smile, contagious laughter and sweet caring are a star in the expanse of the night that will not disappear...and I will carry her in my heart always.Thank you John, Jessie and Vincent, for all you have been for my dear friend, Rosie. You are in my prayers.

I saw Rosemarie smiling in my dreams last night. That beautiful smile and her laughter always made her shine. And now she is smiling with her dad and brother and is looking down and sending all of us love especially her family and especially her dear mother who has endured so many losses these past couple of years. I have so many fond childhood memories of staying with Rosemarie in the summer. We would be up all night talking, laughing, and planning our future (going to Hollywood and being famous movie stars). I will always treasure those memories. It was also so great to see her at Schieffer family reunions. We would connect instantly as if no time had passed by. I know that now I will reconnect with her one day in Heaven and it will again be as if no time had passed away. However, right now I miss her dearly, and I send her my love and a great big smile. I send peace and blessings to all of the family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
