Obituary of Florene Wade

Florene Jolliffe Wade, 88, of the River Road went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2010. She was born June 21, 1921, in Morgantown, the daughter of the late Lucile and Jess Jolliffe. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to garden and sit outside in the swing with her husband and family. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Morgantown High School and attended West Virginia University. She was employed at Slavens Jewelry.She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Wade whom she had been married to for 63 years. She is survived by her two sons Douglas Wade and his spouse Jane of Lawrenceburg, KY Gary Wade and his spouse Dottie of Athens, GA, one daughter, Joyce Dineen and her husband Mike of Morgantown. She is also survived by four grandchildren Doug Wade and his spouse Traci of Lexington, KY, Jenny Franklin and spouse Garrett of Lawrenceburg, KY, Katie Wade of Athens, GA, Micalyn Dineen of Morgantown and two great-grandchildren, Hailey Wade and Lucas Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jess Jolliffe. Family and friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St. Morgantown, from 3-5 and 7-9pm on Thursday ,January 21, and from 10-11am on Friday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11am Friday, with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
