Ruth Jean Cayton Cady, 75, of Morgantown, departed this life Friday, December 18, 2009, at home surrounded by family and went to meet her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born March 14, 1934, at Morgantown, the daughter of the late Adam J. and Dorothy Bigler Cayton. Ruth was a 1952 graduate of Morgantown High School and a homemaker. She married David B. Cady, July 5, 1952.She loved to play the piano and sing the old hymns and also enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, baking and caring for her family. Ruth was a devoted child of God, wife, mother and grandmother who always put others first. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David B. Cady, three children, David E. Cady, Patricia Wadsworth and spouse Bob, Debra Stiles and spouse Gary and a granddaughter, Adrienne Lemine all of Morgantown. Also, survivors include a brother, Roy P. Cayton and spouse Gracella and a sister Shirley Hebb. She leaves behind her cats Annie, Andy and Lillie, who gave her comfort and companionship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rebecca Ruth, brothers, Ernest, Charles and Paul Cayton, and sisters, Mary Cayton, Brenda Landers and an infant sister. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Sunday, December 20, from 4-8pm and on Monday, from 10-11am. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday morning in the funeral home with Pastor Bennie L. Moran and Pastor Joe Peters officiating.
