Hello,My heart and condolences to Petia's family. I lost my husband quite young (35) so I know how awful this is.I was so saddened by this. I did not even know that she was sick. We were friendly when we were in North Carolina together. I was a principal investigator in Immunotoxicology for the EPA and she was at NIEHS. We had many common scientific interests and one time had dinner together in 1996 at the American Association for Immunologists meeting in New Orleans. I will miss seeing her at the scientific meetings we both went to. I saw her last year at SOT and she looked good. I am so shocked.... I will donate something to the American Lung Association to combat lung cancer in her memory.Keep the faith and love,Lisa Ryan
