Obituary of Agnes Barberic

Agnes Marie Barberic, 89, formerly of Herman Avenue, Star City, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at her daughterâs home.She was born on June 18, 1920, in Galtin, Pa the daughter of the late Dan and Anna Cathreno May.She was a former employee of Davis and Lynch Glass Factory and Hills Department Store in Star City. She was a member of St. Marys Christian Mothers, Star City Auxiliary, Community Kitchen, Fraternal Eagles Auxiliary 2364, Ladies Auxiliary and the Columbian Lodge.She is survived by two sons, John David Barberic, Jr.and wife Portia of Orlando, Fl Dan Barberic and wife Diana of Bridgeville, Pa two daughters, Katherine Frisco and Michele Sauro and husband Dennis, one grandson, Bobby Joe Frisco and wife Brenda one great-grand daughter Erica Taylor, brothers, Sam May and Joe May. She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Barberic, Sr., two brothers, John and Louis Cathreno her sister, Frances Engle.Family and friends will be received at St. Maryâs Roman Catholic Church, Star City, on Friday, Dec. 18, from 4-8p.m. and again on Saturday, Dec. 19, from 9-10a.m. A Scriptural Wake service will be held at 7:30p.m Friday to conclude the evening service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church at 10:00a.m Saturday, with Fr. John V. DiBacco as celebrant. Burial will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery.
