It is with much sadness that I mourn the passing of such a great, classy and warm-hearted lady. I first met Susan through her son Brian and was impressed at her grace, charm and hysterical wit! I can see where Brian got it! We all lost a great lady and Susan will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. Best wishes and much condolences for the Perfetti family.

John, Debbie, Brian, and Mr. Perfetti, So sorry to hear about Mrs. Perfetti. She has always been one of my greatest memories of Point Marion. She would always make my favorite snack for me, vanilla wafers and cream cheese, and to this day when I make them I think of her (and my daughter even knows that Mrs. Perfetti always made these for me, they are also her favorite). I am truly saddened by Susan’s death. She was an amazing person- always so kind and considerate. It was always a treat to see her during her visits to Los Angeles. Her energy and spirit filled the room and she could make anyone smile!Her passing will leave a void in the hearts of everyone who knew her. I have very fond memories of the time I have spent with her and Brian. Dear Brian and Deborah:I am so sorry. I really felt connected to your mother even though I knew her only for a short time. My heart hurt each time I entered her room because I knew the road ahead, whatever turn it took, would be formidable and it is this very part of being a doctor that is ever so humbling. When I saw your mom on Monday and we spoke outside her room in the SICU, I was struck by a sense that the indignities of what was to come, should she live to experience these, might be more than she would want to bear --- and moreover, would cause great suffering from which she wanted all of you spared. When we spoke last week at the outset of learning her diagnosis, I was greatly touched by your mother’s concern for how this news would affect you, your sister and brother. It so reminded me of my own mother and my relationship with her, which, as your mother reflected of hers with her children, was one of best friends. Such a loss is an indescribable hurt
