Terrence C. "Terry" Comp, 60, of Toms Run Road, Morgantown, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, after a long battle with MS. His very devoted and loving wife of 24 years, Karin Croft-Comp along with his family, friends and his constant companion, Anni (his little dog) were by his side. Terry was born on January 3, 1949, at the home of his late parentsâ Clifford âBuckâ and Leota â Tobyâ Stansberry Comp. He became a member of the Pisgah Methodist Church at the age of 13. Terry worked many jobs before helping to establish a family business in 1986. He was the foreman/installer at CAM-ROCK Enterprises of Morgantown, installing custom fireplaces, and above- ground swimming pools for 16 years. He was a âJack of all tradesâ. . He was an avid fan of NASCAR and loved listening to all kinds of music and enjoying the company of his pets, Anni, Bear and his new kittens, Smoke and Rocket. He will be missed by his loving family and many friends who enjoyed his wit and sense of humor. Most of all he enjoyed being with his IOOF brothers and sisters. Special thanks to his childhood friend and lodge brother, Bob Fisher, his âlittle buddyâ. In addition to his wife Karin, he is survived by his son, Christopher, his sister, Nancy Sneed Malone and husband Lawrence of Smithtown Community, his brother Daniel C. Comp and wife Brenda of Shinnston, his mother-in-law, Loretta B. Croft and his brother-in-law, Bill Croft both of Morgantown. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law William K. Croft on April 1, 2003. A special thanks to all of our âHospice Girlsâ Brenda, Nancy, Lauren, Claire, Dawn, and also our guy, Doug. A very special thank you to Laura and Dr. Alvaro Gutierrez.Friends, will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Thursday, October 29 and from 10-11am on Friday, October 30. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11am with Pastor Rick Stackpole officiating. Monongalia Lodge #10 IOOF will conduct services at the funeral home at 8:30pm on Thursday, to conclude visitation. Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery on Rt. 73 South.
