Obituary of Nevada Field

Nevada June Field, 92, of Tyrone Road, Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Sundale Nursing Home.Nevada was born in Buckhannon, WV on June 10, 1917 the daughter of the late William and Louella Lanham Hiner. She was a wonderful cook and baker who liked cooking big meals. She loved being outdoors especially when camping, fishing, gardening and working on cars. She was an avid NASCAR fan. She is survived by a son, Marvin W. Fields and wife, Patti of Morgantown her daughters, Sara Hanshew and husband Bill of Charleston, and Patricia George and husband Tom of Martinsville, VA her grandchildren, Patrick William Fields, Christina Page, Douglas Hanshew, Marsha Erskine, Rhonda Eggleston and Linda Coleman 12 great- grandchildren, and one brother, Leslie Hiner of FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Alvin Field, and seven brothers and sisters. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., from 1-3pm on Thursday, October 22. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 3pm Thursday, with Rev.
