John Ducic, 83, of Boyers Ave., Star City, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at his residence.John was born in Morgantown on September 16, 1926, a son of the late Pete and Anna Volarie Ducic.John is survived by one sister, Anna L. Ely of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his special friend of many years, Rose Ann Reid, and one brother, Pete Ducic.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 7-9 PM Thursday, October 22, 2009 and again on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 12:30 â" 1:30 PM. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 PM Friday afternoon in the funeral home with Father Leon Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in the East Oak Grove Cemetery.Donations in Johnâs memory made be made to either Scotts Run Settlement House PO Box 398, Osage, WV 26543 or to Morgantown Hospice, PO Box 4222, Morgantown, WV 26504
