Obituary of Kay Luzier

Kay Ponceroff Luzier, 90, formerly of Scottâs Run, Star City, Bobtown, PA, Indiana, PA and Morgantown WV passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009, at Windy Hill Village of Kingwood, WV.Kay was born in Farmington, WV on March 4, 1919, the daughter of the late Gregor and Cora Ponceroff.She attended various churches in the areas she resided.Kay and her husband owned and operated a grocery store in Bobtown, PA., and she was a former employee of Chico Dairy. She enjoyed quilting, gardening crocheting and baking.She is survived by her three sons, Philip G. Luzier and Margaret J. of Morgantown, Cullen A. Luzier and wife, Suzanne of Florida, Richard A. Luzier and Arcie of Montross,VA, one sister, Martha Wojewodzic of Florida, 9 grandchildren 23 great-grandchildren one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews, In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip A. (Alec) Luzier, one sister and ten brothers.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV on Thursday, Oct.22 from 7-9p.m. and on Friday, Oct. 23 from 10-11a.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00a.m.with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kayâs memory to Goshen Baptist Church, 1070 Goshen Road, Morgantown, WV 26508.
