Wayne Maxwell Bigler, 88, of Brookhaven Road, Morgantown, passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at Sundale Nursing Home.Wayne was born in Morgantown, WV on March 22, 1921, the son of the late John Ellsworth and Olive Whipkey Bigler. He was the last surviving member of his family.He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a former employee of Duntile Block Company and retired from Brookhaven Elementary School as their custodian. He is survived by his wife of 65years, Norma Sankbeil Bigler, two daughters, Janis Maxwell and husband, Larry of Masontown and Charylene St.Clair of Morgantown three grandchildren, Shane Maxwell and wife Jennifer of Masontown, Trevor St.Clair and companion Elissa Spiker of Pittsburgh, PA and Macy St.Clair of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Tuesday, Sept. 8 from 10am to 12 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 12:00p.m. (Noon) with Rev. Larry Buckland officiating. Interment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover.The family asks that flowers be omitted, and contributions in his memory be made to the Wayne Maxwell Bigler Memorial Fund, C/O Clear Mountain Bank, 1889 Earl Core Road, Morgantown, WV 26508.
