Rebecca "Becky" Loar Hall, 86, of Chestnut Ridge Road, Morgantown, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009 at her residence.Rebecca was born in Morgantown, WV on June 25, 1923, the daughter of the late G. Barton and Maude Orr Loar.She graduated from Morgantown High School in 1940. Rebecca, at one time, served as the personal secretary to Ambassador Joseph Farland. She also was employed by First National Bank in Morgantown in their small loans department as well as Sanders Floor Covering where she worked as their office manager. Additionally, for over ten years, she was the Reimbursement Coordinator for the Highlands County Home Health Agency spent 26 years as the treasurer of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Lake Placid, Florida, and served on the finance Board of Central Florida Diocese of the Episcopal Church under the auspices of Bishop John W. Howell.On July 26, 1941, in Oakland, MD she married her husband, Samuel J. Hall who survives her at home. Additionally, she is survived by her 3 sons Jarrett R. Hall and his wife Paula, William B. Hall and his wife Kathy, and David S. Hall and his wife Donna grandchildren Jarrett R. Hall, II and his wife, Riki, Kimberly Ann Foust and her husband Gary, and Travis Wilson and wife, Monica McCartney great-grandchildren Amy Hall, Jacob Foust, Amanda Foust, Michelle Foust, and Jason Foust a nephew, C. Barton Loar and his wife Carol and a niece, Jo Anne King great-nieces Holly Rebecca Loar and Elizabeth Ann King.She was preceded in death by a brother, Jarrett E. Loar and his wife Hope and a granddaughter Amy Catherine Hall.Cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.A family graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church: 43 Lake June Road, Lake Placid, FL 33852.
