David Lenzie Cumley, Sr., 59, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009, at Monongalia General Hospital.David was born in Morgantown on August 3, 1950, the son of the late Lenzie âLuckyâ and Madeline Snyder Cumley.He retired from Consolidation Coal Company and currently worked at Mylan Pharmaceuticals. He enjoyed a lifetime of motorcycling, hunting, travel and had a passion for collecting Morgantown glass.He currently served as Vice-President of the Old Morgantown Glass Collectorâs Guild and served on the museum committee and was a member of FOE Aerie 2391. Most importantly he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.He is survived by his daughter, Josie Shoemaker and her children Garrette,Nicole and Joni Leigh, his son, David Jr. and wife Tara and their children, Jacob and Gracie, by his daughter, Kristina and her husband Timothy Woodall. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Nikki. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., on Saturday, August 8, from 4-8p.mand Sunday, August 9 from Noon-1p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 1:00p.m. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Preston County. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Davidâs memory to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
