Obituary of Virginia Dare Spencer

Virginia Dare Spencer, 90, of Healthy Heights Village, Morgantown, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at Mapleshire Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center of Morgantown, WV.
She was born in Tyler Co. on December 15, 1922, the only child of the late Oliver Clarence Fetty and the late Ada Agnes Freeland Fetty.
She is survived by her daughter Wanda Dare Spencer, with whom she made her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Spencer in 1966.
Virginia was an Avon Representative for 30 years. She enjoyed working with flowers and loved her cats - particularly spending time with her favorite one, Kit Kat.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staffs of Ruby Memorial Hospital, Amedysis Hospice and Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and a very special thank you to one of her caregivers, Cindy Riggie, for all of the help that they provided to Mrs. Spencer during her illnesses.
In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Spencer will be cremated. No public services will be scheduled and inurnment will take place at a later date in Tyler County.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Spencer's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Northern Regional Office, 1299 Pineview Drive, Suite 3, Morgantown, WV 26505
