Obituary of Carol Sue Gamble Prudnick

Carol Sue Gamble Prudnick, 68, of Cassville-Mt. Morris Rd., Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, February 5, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Morgantown on May 22, 1944, a daughter of the late Charles Lester Gamble, and the late Sarah Isabelle Corley Gamble. Survivors include her children, Sherry Fox and her husband Brian, and Paula Lang and her husband Rob all of Morgantown; and her step-son, Jim Price and his wife Karen of Virginia; her grandchildren, Kelsey and Adam Fox and Tara and Alex Lang all of Morgantown, and Amanda Price O'Hare, Tracy Totaro and her husband J.J., and Greg Price and his wife Leah all of Virginia; five sisters, Jean Osecky, Sandy Friend and her husband Duane, Patty Jones and her husband Al, Linda Hardesty, and Connie Braham and her husband Fred all of Morgantown, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joseph Prudnick on October 3, 1999; and three brothers, Dave Gamble, Bill Gamble and Donnie Gamble. Carol was a 1962 graduate of University High School. She worked for more than 20 years as a seamstress with American Dry Cleaners, and currently was a cast technician with Mountain State Orthopedics with 19 years of dedicated service. She loved the work that she did. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family - especially her grandchildren. Also, she enjoyed poker nights with her family. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 4-8 PM on Thursday, February 7th and again on Friday, February 8th from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM with Pastor Fred Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Carol's name please be made to the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, PO Box 9300, Morgantown, WV 26506,
