Obituary of Julie Anne Foster
Please share a memory of Julie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
ulie Anne Hagedorn Foster, 50, of Wrightman St., Morgantown, was eternally healed and called home to her Lord early Thursday morning, May 16, 2013 at her residence in the presence of her husband and children after a valiant battle with cancer.
She was born in Morgantown on October 27, 1962, a daughter of Donnie Hagedorn of Star City, and Carol McCartney and her husband George Bush of Morgantown.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Minter Charles Foster; two children, Joshua Foster at home, and Megan Cook of Morgantown and her husband Specialist Isaac Cook, currently serving overseas with the US Armed Forces; several cousins, and her "inner-circle" group of friends.
Julie was a dedicated teacher with the Monongalia County School System, currently serving at University High School. She had previously taught at Morgantown and Clay-Battelle High Schools, and also formerly worked as a bookkeeper with Dr. Wiley's office. She enjoyed going to WVU basketball games, and University High School Volleyball and Softball games. She was honored by the students and faculty of University High School who assisted her and her family during her illness with benefits from the Hawk Walk.
For as much as she was dedicated to her students and teaching, Julie was an even more dedicated Christian. She was a very faith-filled woman and you could easily see that she lived her life for her Lord. She attended both the Mt. View Free Methodist church, and the Pierpont Church of the Nazarene. She loved going to church and participating in church activities, and was a Bible quiz coach for seven years.
Family and friends will be received at the Pierpont Church of the Nazarene, 52 Harner Run Rd., Morgantown where she will lay in repose beginning Monday, May 20th from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, May 21st from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and again on Wednesday, May 22nd from 2:30 PM until the time of the service at 4 PM with Pastor George Boyle, Pastor Casey Shorr, and Reverend Jim Cooley co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on the Kingwood Pike.
In lieu of flowers, contribution in Julie's memory may be made to the Black Hills Free Methodist Camp, C/O Faith Reesman, 966 McCurdysville Pike, Rivesville, WV 26588
