Obituary of Shirley Mock

Shirley Ann Mock, 77, Morgantown, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Shirley was born in Metz, WV on July 16, 1935, the daughter of the late Okey Haught and the late Helen (Huey) Haught. Shirley was a member of the Spruce Street United Methodist Church in Morgantown and was formerly employed as a Registered Nurse at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was a Red Cross Volunteer and attended Bible Study at the Westover Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her grandchildren She is survived by three children, Amy Shanholtzer (Craig) of Winfield, WV, Karyn Hoskinson of Morgantown, WV, Garth Mock (Leah) of Alum Creek, WV and six grandchildren, Claire Shanholtzer, Lauren Shanholtzer, Hannah Hoskinson, Garett Mock, Kaleigh Mock, and Jacob Hale. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Nick Emil Mock, who passed away in 1989. Family and friends will be received at the Spruce St. United Methodist Church, 386 Spruce St., Morgantown on Friday, June 7th from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM with Pastor Kara Rowe officiating. Interment will follow in the East Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions in Shirley's memory please be made to the Spruce St. United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 386 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV 26505.
