Miss Dawn took care of me as much as she did my daughters. As a first time mother, I nervously dropped Addy off the first day with tears in my eyes and apprehension in heart. She gave me a hug and told me call as many times as I needed to, and I called a lot :)
Thank God for Dawn (and the rest of the teachers at KK), she took care of the most important people in my life like they were her own. My deepest sympathy to her family. She touched so many lives in such an important way.

My husband and I decided to tell our Sam that Miss Dawn was in heaven now. He laughed and said he knew she was, "having so much fun bouncing on the clouds and laughing". Miss Dawn was always there for our family. A sweet smile, a kind word, and of course a great laugh. Words cannot describe how much we love her; everyone who knows us knows of her. My favorite (albeit sad) memory was when Sam was very sick and we were all alone at Ruby. Dan was far from home and it took a day to get back. Miss Dawn was not permitted in his room but she stayed by the door and we held hands through the glass. As we held hands we both cried. I often told her that incident cemented her in my heart and she became our family. (Whether she wanted to or not). An imprinted will always be in our family's heart. Thank you for always believing in me a new mom, and for taking the best care of your "Suggie".

I did not know Miss Dawn personally, but I knew what kind of person she was through my daughter, Jeanette Custer, and my grandsons, Branden and Ethan. There will never be enough words to tell the story how much Ms Dawn loved her babies at Kids Corner.
As a first time grandma, who every one calls Unnie I became number two when Brayden was in the
Care of Ms. Dawn. She gave him hugs and kisses and all the love in her heart. As for me, I will always
