Charles Ernest Strecker, 61, of Kingwood, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Charles was born in Baltimore on July 31, 1951, the son of the late Charles Ernest Strecker, II and the late Pauline (Ross) Strecker, II. He served two terms in the United States Army ending in October of 1975. Mr. Strecker's passions included muscle cars, motorcycles and his family. He is survived by his wife, Catherine DeLauter Strecker; three sons, Charles E. Strecker, Jr. and his wife Judy. of Neeses, SC, Daniel Strecker and his wife Vicki of Baltimore, MD., and Jesse Strecker of Newark, DE.; a sister Linda Strecker of Baltimore, MD.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Daniel Matthew Grimm and Andrew Michael Anderson; and three step-grandchildren. There will be no funeral home visitation. A committal service with full military honors accorded will be held at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Those wishing to attend the service should arrive at the cemetery no later than 12:45 PM. Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown is in charge of the arrangements.
