Obituary of Claude William Sell

Claude William "Bill" Sell, 71, of Sugar Grove Rd., Morgantown, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 31, 2013 at Monongalia General Hospital. Bill was born in Morgantown on February 18, 1942, a son of the late Dorothy Sell Menear. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Shaffer Sell; two sons, William Claude Sell, Jr. of Cassville, and David Wayne Sell and his wife Wilma of Maidsville; three grandchildren, Crystal Star Sell of Maidsville, and Catherine Louise Sell and Dylan Ray Sell, both of Cassville; and his former daughter-in-law, Tonya Lewis Sell of Morgantown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alfred Menear and his grandmother, Mabel Sell. He was affiliated with Zoar House of Prayer and Crusade for Jesus Bill was a good and faithful husband, father and grandfather and will be remembered as a kind, gentle giant. Family and friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Friday, August 2nd from 6-8 PM and again on Saturday, August 3rd from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 AM with Pastor Barbara Hamrick officiating.
