Did not know Linda well as you know Harold. I only got to get to know her a little thanks to face book. Ever since you both moved away from NC you have been missed dearly. At this time I shall extend extra prayers for strength and guidance through this time. Know you are not alone but he is beside you all the way. Always in my thoughts and prayers. With much Love and admiration: Tanya

Although Linda and I hadn't seen each other since we graduated from MHS in 1965, our shared stories, recipes and talk about critters on Facebook was a source of enjoyment daily. I will miss you, Linda but I know that you are happily cooking and bird watching in Heaven. God Bless.

Linda was a beautiful person. I met her in Switzerland in 1970. Later we went to India by road, with another friend. It took us about 2 months. I pray for her peace and happiness in the other world.

Today is worse than yesterday. I look at all Linda's photos on her facebook page, a wistful one, the photo of her in the school band - so full of promise; they wreck me. Linda liked or commented on my posts often on facebook, which is where we reconnected after many years and kept our friendship current. It was no small thing. She paid attention and she participated in a daily conversation. As brief as these facebook conversations were, they were meaningful. I looked forward to seeing her name liking some silly status post I wrote. It was like meeting a neighbor each day and even if the only exchange was a smile and a "How you doing?" it was a daily human connection that made me feel less lonely in this world. I'm going to miss that a great deal. Linda will not wake again to the wonder of another Christmas morning, see another first snowfall, feed another baby bird, be surprised by a summer rain or feel the satisfaction of a day well spent, while enjoying a beautiful sunset. It just wrecks me. We remembered each other when we were young and pretty things and the world was bright and shimmering. Yes, I'm sadder today than yesterday. My sympathy to her mother, her husband, Lesly and all her cousins. ~ Tina Romanus

I knew Linda when we both were in college at WVU in the early 1960's and spent a lot of time with her. I remember seeing her first at a coffee house in Morgantown and remarking to my friends that she looked like a really neat person. After that we met and became friends. I lost contact with Linda in the following years until connecting again on FB several years ago. My thoughts and condolences are with her family and friends.

Linda was a friend at WVU who I had the good luck to meet again on Facebook. She was always a complex person but unique and wonderful. I had not yet seen her in person, I live now in Pittsburgh, but hoped to this coming summer. Again I learn, to my loss, not to put things off. I will miss Linda a great deal. She was a fine person and a good friend.
