I wish to express my sincere condolences to his family and colleagues.
I remember his helpful and optimistic outlook at the CEMR. He paid special attention to the progress of young professionals and minority students. It's so sad that we will not have him around anymore.

To the family and friends of Femi, I will miss Femi's bright smile and caring heart. When I arrived in Morgantown over 20 years ago as a grad student, he was the first friend I made. When I would see Femi around campus, he was so friendly, it would be the best part of my day. His kindness to all will be remembered always. My thoughts and prayers are with you. A great loss.

Femi, You gave me strength in my undergraduate years. When I thought raising my son, going to school, and working was more than I could endure, you gave me hope and inspired me to keep going. You always had kind words, a warm heart, with a beautiful smile. Thanks to your family for sharing you with Jeremy and myself all these years. You will certainly be missed by many. Blessings to Femi and the Family, Diana G.

Femi, Words can't express my sadness. I can't believe that I will not see your smiling face or hear your infectious laughter in E. Moore Hall again. At least I will always have my memories of the wonderful times that we spent together. You were more than a friend, you were my brother. To the family I wish you peace and comfort in your memories of Femi. You will be greatly missed, my friend.

It will be hard to imagine WVU without Femi Olajide. He was here when I returned in 1979. He helped so many students, was a tutor and a mentor. All of us could always count on him. He took care of Dean Boyd and her Father when they needed him. Femi was a loving, caring, kind person--a good man who inspired all of us. He has a special place in the hearts of WVU folks all over the world.

Femi touched so many lives including mine. He was the embodiment of kindness and respect. His smile and warmth were infectious. I remember him as a very hard working young man at the Coal Research Bureau (in White Hall on the downtown campus of WVU) back in the seventies. He will be sadly missed. I pray that the peace of our Lord and Saviour will be with his family and all those who loved him.

I am very sad to hear of Mr. Olajide's passing. I work as a chemistry tutor for the university at the downtown library, where I saw him many nights a week. He volunteered his time to help students learn math. He was always so friendly and I will miss his presence. He always told me that I was "one of the good ones" and thanked me for helping students. I hope that his family finds comfort in the fact that he will be fondly remembered by many.
