Obituary of Sally Jane Seaman Davis

Sally Jane Seaman Davis, 81, of Bluegrass Village, Morgantown, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at Madison Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Morgantown, WV.
She was born in Fairmont on February 8, 1933, the daughter of the late Varnum Stacy Seaman and the late Mary Weltha (Denham) Seaman.
She is survived by her two children, Shelly Rae Marino and her husband Sam of Lexington, KY, and Kim Allen DeVincent and his wife Dreama of Morgantown; five grandchildren, Adam Marino and his wife Jen of California, Nick Marino and his wife Crystal of Lexington, KY, Christopher Marino of Baltimore, MD, Daniel Marino and his wife Cari of Lexington, KY and Craig Allen DeVincent of Morgantown; six great-grandchildren, Mason Marino, Nichole Preston, Ryder Marino, Wiley Marino, Addison Marino-Barry, and Sophia Rae Marino; and one sister, Sandy Riley of Aiken, SC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Romine.
Sally was a well educated woman, who went college after her children were older. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, and later a Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. She last worked at Valley Mental Health Center, but previously had taught math in prisons in South Carolina, and was also a teacher in Monongalia County at one time.
Sally was an avid reader. You couldn't find her without a book in her hand. More than anything, her family was the most important thing in her life. She loved her children and grandchildren and spent as much time with them as she could. She also spent much time in the research of her family's Genealogy.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM with President Jeff Skousen of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Interment will follow at 3 PM Thursday afternoon the Bridgeport Cemetery. I
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sally's memory made be made to either the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints, 137 Bakers Dr., Morgantown, WV 26508, or to the Morgantown Area Meals on Wheels, 3373 University Ave., Morgantown, WV 26505.
