Obituary of William Bucy

William Lee Bucy, 86 of Morgantown, died of natural causes Friday, February 14, 2014 at Mapleshire Nursing Center. Born October 4, 1927, in Morgantown, he was the son of the late William Elza and Lula Helen Guthrie Bucy. He graduated from Morgantown High School in 1945 and worked the family Clinton Hill Dairy Farm for over 30 years. While continuing a beef cattle business, he worked for Borg-Warner and General Electric as a chemical plant operator. He was a life member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 10 in Morgantown. Survivors include a daughter and two sons from his marriage to Barbara J. Tucker Bucy, Suzanne Elizabeth Bucy of Morgantown, William Earle and Karen Bucy of Bonita Springs, FL, and Robert Lee and Cynthia Bucy of Morgantown; three grandchildren, William Denis of Houston, TX, Michael Ryan of Greensboro, NC, William Bennett of Morgantown; four great grandchildren, and a brother and his wife, John Albert and Wilma Bucy of Rock Hill, SC. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Eugene Bucy, and his sister, Jane Bucy Tredway. Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, February 19th and again on Thursday, February 20th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
