Obituary of Betty Ruth Colebank

Betty Ruth Colebank, 83, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Betty was born in Morgantown on February 1, 1931, the daughter of the late Dale and Dora (Wolfe) Colebank.
She was a graduate of University High School, and was employed as a seamstress with Morgan Shirt Factory for 46 years. Betty loved her job and enjoyed every day until her retirement. Betty was a vibrant, fun-loving person who loved her family deeply.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Harlan Amandus of Morgantown; grandchildren, Marc and Jennifer Amandus of Morgantown and Nicholas Amandus of Charleston; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Ezekiel (Zeke) Amandus; sister, Mary Evelyn McNair and husband James of Morgantown; many very special nieces and nephews, Becky, Betty Ann, Cathy, Pam, Linda, Wayne, Randy, Glenn, Chad and spouses; and several great nieces and nephews she dearly loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Melvin John Colebank, Loretta Walls, and Glenn Colebank, and a precious granddaughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Amandus.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital, including the cleaning staff, food workers, all nursing staff, and all doctors who provided care to her during the many days she spent at the hospital. She was treated with dignity and respect at all times and came to love all those who provided her care.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV, on Thursday, February 20, from 5-8 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, February 21, from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm with Pastor Douglas Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery.
