Obituary of Wilma Harvey

Wilma Harvey, 86, of Morgantown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Monongalia General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 4, 1927 in Core, WV, a daughter of the late Foster Eamon Smith and Susanna Beatrice Fetty Easterday. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dr. Clarence Harvey.
Mrs. Harvey was a 1946 graduate of Clay Battelle High School and was the chairperson of her class reunion committee for many years. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Red Hat Society. She was a homemaker who in her free time enjoyed sewing, knitting, cross-stitching, baking, working in her flower beds and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her children, Dr. Richard Harvey and his wife Beth of Morgantown and Susanna H. Roth and her husband Dave of Weston; grandchildren, Nathaniel, John Mark, Rachel, Cearah, Isaiah, Jennifer, and Sarah-beth; great grandchildren, Colin, Ian, Owen, Camden, Jack, Kaylee, Bryce, Caleb, and Makayla; sisters, Viola Smith of Morgantown and Eleanor Miller of Indiana; daughter in law, Patty Griffiths of Beaver Falls, PA; and caregiver and companion, Bessie Murray.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Harvey.
Friends and family will be received at the Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Thursday, April 24th from 2-4 and 6-8, Friday, April 25th from 12-4 and on Saturday, April 25th from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
