Darlene Travis, 69, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at her home.
Darlene was born in Morgantown on July 5, 1945, the daughter of the late Arthur Bryan and Wanda Olive (Wilson) Mace.
She was a loving wife and sister. She worked as a legal secretary for several different attorneys in the area.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Raymond “Buck” Travis; her sister, Lois Goff and her husband Howard of Morgantown; her brother, Art Mace and his wife Janet of Pittsburgh, PA; and her sister-in-law, Marsha Travis of Plainsboro, NJ. Darlene is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Denise Goff, Meghan Mace, Kimberly Herko, Tamara LaMar, Bill Goff, Brian Mace and Wesley Mace.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Carolyn Kay Mace and Leola ‘Dottie” Marie Kelley.
In honoring her wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown.
A graveside committal service will be held for family members and close friends at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Morgantown on Tuesday, November 4th at 1 PM officiated by Art Mace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
