Norma Jean Lavery, 89, of Morgantown, passed away November 12, 2014.
She was born Oct. 28, 1925, to the late John and Mamie Dinsmore of Uniontown, PA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Jack Lavery, Sr., her siblings Bob Dinsmore, Ruth Burke and Faye Stump and a great grandchild.
Norma Jean was loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She graduated from North Union High School in 1943. She was a long time member of Suncrest United Methodist Church, Pines Country Club and the Pines Ladies Golf Association.
She is survived by her children, Sheila Fleck and husband Charlie, of Naples, FL, Jack Lavery Jr. and wife Kim of Morgantown WV: 5 grandchildren Amanda Stone and husband Michael, Whitney Workman and husband Justin, Becky DeHart and husband Kevin, Logan Fleck, Taylor Fleck and 5 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the people of Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown Hospice and especially to longtime friend and caretaker Theresa Lee.
Friends and family will be received at the Suncrest United Methodist Church, 479 Van Voorhis Rd., Morgantown, on Monday, November 17 from 9-11am, followed by a service. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rosenbaum Family House, PO Box 8228, Morgantown, WV 26508 or to the Suncrest United Methodist Church, 479 Van Voorhis Rd., Morgantown, WV 26505.
