I met Chet when I was a sophomore at Logan High School which I was attending for fall semester and I was living with my Aunt and Uncle. Chet and I became great friends as we shared a love of James Bond. he was a senior at the time. I am sorry we lost touch for a couple of years until I saw him briefly in Singapore when he came on R and R when he was in the Navy. He was a very nice man. I am sorry to hear of your loss.

He was a great co-worker as I worked right next to him for many years. He was kind, companionate and funny. I loved his flying pigs on his desk. Susan, I am so sorry for your loss. He's in a better place watching over you, the love of his life. He spoke of you often. Ricki Dulin

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I did not know your loved one personally, but I do know the pain of losing a loved one in death. It is my hope that you may find comfort from family and friends, and from “the God of all comfort” who can provide us with peace during such difficult times (2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4).

I was very saddened and shocked to hear of Chet's passing. I work at the capitol in the Governor's Office of Technology and communicated with Chet via email and phone calls mostly unless a technology conference was being attending here in Charleston, WV. Chet was a good person to work with and he was so laid back and easy going, it was very easy to help him when he would call with a question or in need of assistance. My heart goes out to the family and his loved ones left behind, but you were very blessed to have had him in your lives to share now what must be wonderful memories. God bless you.

I am so sorry to learn about Chet's untimely death and offer my sincere condolences. I got to know Chet through ACM SIGUCCS conferences which we attended because of our careers in IT. We then found that we shared an interest in Formula One racing and so had many chats about races, drivers, cars and courses. I remember him saying that he and Susan would put on their Ferrari sweaters to watch races. What fun! He contributed much to SIGUCCS and will be remembered by many. It was a privilege to have known him.

Just a week before his passing, a picture I took of Chet at the motorcycle show in Cleveland. He had a great time and was excited about visiting every booth. So sorry, Susan and family about his passing. He was truly my very best friend and I am so glad to have known and ridden with him over the last year.

Dear Susan,
I'm so sorry about Chet. We grew up together in Middelburg in the '50's and '60's. Although our paths didn't cross in Morgantown too often, he was my friend and I will miss him.

For the time we've know Chet it was always so nice to see him. Granted the only times we got to see him was at our North/ South Motorcycle rally in Lexington VA and at the Smoking in the Smokies rally in Pigeon Forge TN. He loved riding his motorcycles. At our rallies. We would talk about lots of subjects. One was his recent retirement, which he was really enjoying. Everyone at these rallies loved Chet. With myself and him both owning BMW's.We were always talking about our bikes. It was a shock to hear of his passing. And as sad I and my wife Nancy are .We feel we had the honor to have known him, and our lives are richer because of it .Our prayers and thoughts are with Susan and his family Until we meet again.Rest in peace Chet .We will miss you.

We felt crushed when we learned of Chet's death. Less than 3 weeks before we were with Chet and Susan enjoying dinner out and thinking of many future get-togethers. We met Chet at an Ollie Yoga class and though we have known he and Susan only for 3 years, we considered him a good friend. He showed his thoughtfulness by sending a weblink about Wine tasting to us less than a week before he died. We will remember Chet fondly and wish Susan and all of Chet's family our condolences on this time of their loss. Best Regards - Lana & Jeff Rossy, York, SC.

As a member of the Logan High School Class of 1965 Chet will be sadly missed at our reunion this year. His service to his country is especially appreciated. It is cosmic how our paths parallel throughout life. After the military I too became employed by DoD and continued till my recent retirement. I was the president of the civil service union in South Korea and represented my co-workers through the union and EEO for over 24 years. It seems that a large number of our classmates were and are dedicated to helping others. It must be a trait of "Hillbillys". Sorry Chet was not able to enjoy more of his retirement years. Condolences to his family and to all who loved him.
