Obituary of Robert James Campbell

Robert James "Bob" Campbell, 86, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Brady, WV on December 25, 1928, the son of the late Earl W. and the late Mildred Cooley Campbell.
He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Morgantown.
Bob graduated from Morgantown High School in 1947 and went on to complete various General Motors training courses. He served as a Corporal in the U. S. Army ordinance during the Korean War Conflict from 1951 to 1953 and received two Oak Leaf Clusters. He worked 46 years in the automotive business in the Morgantown and surrounding area, serving as Service Director for 25 years at Wilson Chevrolet Company. He retired in sales at Anthony Chevrolet Company in Fairmont in 1993. He was the Past Grand Knight of IOOF no. 10 and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Third and Fourth Degree.
He is survived by one son, Robert Ray Campbell of Silver Springs, MD; one daughter and spouse, Sandra Kay and W. Scott DeVault of Morgantown;grandchildren; Adam Scott and Elizabeth Brooke DeVault of Morgantown. Also he is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia J. Campbell; brothers Earl Campbell, Jr. and Francis Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Campbell, the mother of his children.
Family and friends will be received at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, One Guthrie Lane, Morgantown on Thursday, June 4 from 4-8 p.m. A Scriptural Wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening in the church to conclude the visitation. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 5 from 10-11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the church at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati, STD, VE, as celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Peace Garden Mausoleum in Star City.
