Obituary of Edward James Cupp
Edward James Cupp, 82, of Morgantown passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side.
Son of the late Edward Carmen and Dicie Emma Cupp, he was born August 17, 1934 in Morgantown.
Edward was a retired machinist and welder at Francis Engineering in Westover and a veteran of the WV National Guard. He was a loving, generous man who would do anything needed of him. He liked to golf, ride his bike, square dance, bowl, camp, and tinker with things in his basement. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Edward was a long standing member of Sabraton Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Sanders Cupp; three daughters: Marion Lenhart, Judy and Brian Grubb, and Deborah Ellis; stepson, Mike Cupp; grandchildren: Kevin Hess, Curtis and Jayme Hess, John Cupp, Jr., Lexxi Grubb, Brady Grubb, Sheanna Wildemuth, and Casey Ellis; great-grandchildren: Ashley Hess, Emma Hess, Joey Hess, and Mason Hess; several step-grandchildren, and a sister, Helen Cupp.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, John Cupp.
Family and friends will be received at Sabraton Baptist Church, 1641 Sabraton Avenue, Morgantown, on Tuesday, August 1 from 4-7 PM and again on Wednesday, August 2 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM with Pastor Scott Whetzel officiating.
Interment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Morgantown.
