Obituary of James Frederick Dutton
James F. “Jimmy” Dutton, age 33, formerly of Wilmington & Smyrna, DE passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, in Morgantown, WV surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness.
He was born in Wilmington, DE to Fred & Marci Dutton. He attended schools in Newark, and Brandywine Hundred before moving to Smyrna and graduating from Smyrna High School in 2003. He attended WVU in Morgantown, where he fell in love with the area and people and decided to make it his home. He was the General Manager for Arby’s of Morgantown, WV
Jimmy loved sports and played in the Brandywine Little League many years. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and diehard Atlanta Braves fan. He loved to read and was a brilliant writer.
Jimmy's generous and compassionate spirit was felt by everyone he knew. His exceptional ability to connect with people influenced both his short life and career.
He is survived by his beloved parents, Marci (Seiss) and Fred Dutton of Smyrna, DE; his brother Rich, of Austin, TX; his uncles Bob Dutton and wife Lynn of Tacoma, WA, and George Dutton of Wilmington, DE; cousins Allison, George Jr., Sharon and several very close friends, and his beloved cat Bunk.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Richard and Millie Seiss, Jim and Alice Dutton and his uncle Mark Seiss.
Friends may call on the family from Saturday, September 23rd from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike Wilmington, DE 19803. Burial will be private.
Please dress casually, as Jimmy would have preferred.
