Obituary of Kathy Lynn Camp
Kathy Lynn Camp 53, of Morgantown WV, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, 9-17-2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born January 8, 1964 in Virginia. She is the daughter of Mitchell and Linda Newcome of Masontown WV.
Kathy's career achievements includes a bachelor and masters degree in accounting from West Virginia University. During her distinguished career with WVU she worked in numerous financial and IT analyst positions. She was a prolific foster parent for many years to over 26 kids. Four of these children were lucky to have her as their permanent mother. Her gentle humanitarian spirit was shown throughout her life. She enjoyed crocheting hats for women who were undergoing cancer treatments. She also enjoyed making baby clothing and blankets for her friends and family. She was an avid movie fan and a lover of animals and strays in need of rescue. She gave freely to anyone in need of assistance and loved without end.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick Grey Camp, Jr.; her children, Hannah Rose Camp, Noah Scott Jurinko, Hayden Eric Chase Camp, and Justice Raven Camp all of Morgantown; foster grandchildren, Zayah and Lakota Manley; Her siblings, Michael and Sherri Newcome and children of Masontown and Renee and Phil Davis and children of Arthurdale.
She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, aunt, sister friend and colleague. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Thursday, September 21st from 5-8 PM and again on Friday, September 22nd from 9 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor David Hood officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
