Betty June Cook, 82, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, November 19th at the home of her sister.  She was born on June 7, 1935 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Elton Wyatt Flanagan and Freda Mae (Nethken) Henry. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert Phillips Cook.

Mrs. Cook retired after 29 years of service from the WVU Office of Admissions.  She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her children, Pamela Lyn Cook Smith and her husband Art of Morgantown, Ramona Dawn Cook Taylor and her husband Jim of Marysville, OH; Phillipa “Luci” Kimberly Cook Denjen and her husband Rick of Granville; grandchildren, Todd Frymyer and his wife Renee, Ryan Sotirakis, Cara Sotirakis Rambosek and her husband James, Lucas Sotirakis, Stephanie Denjen, Abby Taylor, Katie Taylor Rogers and her husband Matt and Kent Taylor; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Morgan, Makenna, Destin, Willem, Rowan and Penny; a sister, Gerry Kirkendall; a brother, Elton “Sonny” Flanagan and his wife Rose; and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to send a sincere thank you to the WVU Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and to Amedisys Hospice.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Saturday, November 25th from 4-7 and again on Sunday, November 26th from 11 until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon with Rev. James R. Taylor officiating.  Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
