Obituary of Mary Jo Baker
Mary Jo Baker, 92, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at Point Manor in Pt Marion PA. She was born July 23, 1925 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Wade Comer and Bernice Fay (Steele) Southard.
She was a lifelong member of Cheat Lake United Methodist Church and was a longtime member of the choir.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Fowler and her husband Willis; son, Richard Baker; grandchildren, Beth Ann Impastato and her husband Laurence, Valerie Frasher and her husband Shawn, Matthew Baker and his fiancé Bonnie Shiflett, Andrew Baker and his wife Kimmi; great grandchildren, Frank Impastato and his wife Lyssa, Chad Frasher and his wife Samantha, Spc. Christopher Impastato, Jess Frasher and his wife Jessica, Cole Frasher, Matison Baker, Macen Baker; great great grandchildren, Lyla Impastato, Frankie Impastato, Kenna Frasher, and Cody Impastato.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Baker; step-mother, Nora Southard; daughter-in-law, Sandy Baker; sister, Maxine Baker, brother, Eugene Southard; and step- brother, Gerald Fordyce.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, December 13th from 4-8 PM. Visitation will continue at the Cheat Lake United Methodist Church, 750 Fairchance Rd., Morgantown on Thursday, December 14th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Rev. Andrew Burd-Harris officiating. Interment will take place at Donaldson Cemetery.
